About us
This spacious, comfortable turn-of-the-century home was built by a Mr. Desjardins on Route 11, formerly known as the "Route du Nord" and now known as Rue Valiquette. It was the ideal place to raise a large family.
During the crisis years, the salon served as an office for the gas station opposite (now a convenience store). Later, Mr. Desjardins occupied only the second floor of the house, and the lower floor became the Sainte-Adèle-en-Bas post office. This solid building became in turn a daycare center, a home furnishings store and, since 1979, a restaurant; first with the "Bistro de la poste", then the "Café de la poste" and then "L'Ailloli de la poste", to become, in October 1985, "Chez Milot".
Claude Descôteaux, a graduate of the ITHQ, and his wife Carmen McDonald, who had worked in the restaurant business for 25 years, realized their dream in October 1990 when they bought this charming restaurant, where they had said to themselves a few years earlier: "One day, we'll have a restaurant like this.
Éric MarinWith over 25 years' experience in the restaurant business and a 2005 ITHQ diploma in accommodation and restaurant management, it was in May 2014 that their son, Éric Marin, finally became the owner. Drawing on all his past experience, it is with great pleasure and enthusiasm, and a host of ideas in mind, that Éric takes over the family business, which will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2025.
